To be eligible for this scholarship you, your parent(s) or grandparents must have been an Abri Credit Union member in good standing for 3 months prior to the date of your application.

Prior to beginning this online application, please have the following items ready to submit electronically (School transcript, two letters of recommendation and a 60-second video or essay), check the box telling us you will mail them, or print the scholarship application now to prepare your submission. Scholarship deadline is midnight on January 31, 2024.

    Prepare your choice of an Essay or a Video that conveys a clear, clever message of your financial knowledge on one of the following topics:

  • Why is it important to follow a budget, especially in college, and how can a budget help you with your future financial success?
  • What is the best financial advice you have been given and how have you implemented that in your day-to-day activities?

    Please submit a 500 word essay on the topic listed above. Essay format guidelines: double spaced, 1” margins, 12 point Times New Roman font, 500 words or approximately 2 pages in length. No longer than 700 words, approximately 3 pages in length. Acceptable essay file formats are .DOC; .DOCX; .RTF; .PDF.

    Please upload your 60-second video/commercial that conveys a clear, clever message of your financial knowledge on the topic listed above. We will not judge the quality of the production, but the message itself. Video size limit is 30 MB. Acceptable video file formats are .MP4; .MOV; .AVI; .WMV. Materials submitted will not be returned to applicant.

    The information provided in this Scholarship Application is true and complete. I authorize Abri Credit Union’s Scholarship Committee to verify or obtain further information that the committee may deem necessary concerning my Scholarship application. I understand that this application and essay or video will be retained by the Scholarship Committee whether or not I am awarded a scholarship. I also understand that the decision of Abri Credit Union’s Scholarship Committee is final and that, if awarded, my name and photograph may be used by the Credit Union for publicity purposes.

    All complete scholarship applications must be received by the Scholarship Committee no later than January 31, 2024. Please submit or mail your completed application, transcript, two letters of recommendation and essay or video to Abri Credit Union, Attn: Scholarship Committee, 1350 W.
